A Bespoke New Catering Facility At The Park Served Up By A Local Business

29 November 2024

Local Wantage catering business Valentine Food, has been installed as the operator and is looking to build on a reputation for barista coffee, breakfasts, daily specials and its signature pick ’n mix salad bar, championing its famous fresh salads. Corporate lunches and other catering are also part of the comprehensive service to the Park and also available to the wider business community and public.

Valentine Food was established in 2017 by local couple Graeme & Lisa Valentine-Harding, having spent 30 years in the catering industry. Valentine’s had already traded from a small trailer unit at GBP, where it built a loyal following of customers.

The catering unit itself is also a local success story. The twin converted base container units were specially adapted in Corby, but the warm and welcoming treated ash cladding and seating area fencing was locally supplied from Vastern Timber in Swindon from British woodland sources.

The seating was sourced from RAW, a social impact company based in Oxford, which uses 100% recycled materials. Meanwhile the production and installation company, Mornington Day is based just up in Shipton on Stour in the Cotswolds.

Graeme Harding of Valentine Food is excited about the future: “Grove Business Park is a real community and it’s great to be at the heart of it. We are looking forward to growing with the Park as it expands and even welcoming more people from the wider area to try our great food as we also expand our opening hours.”

Alastair Thomas of Development Managers ATLP added: “Providing a quality catering facility on site with great food and beverages from a local business was a key objective in transforming the Park into an attractive hub for science, technology and commercial businesses.”
